24049. Apologies for Absence – Chris Brandon King
24050. Declarations of Interest – none received.
24051. Public Representations - No members of the public were present.
24052. Minutes of the last meeting – the minutes of the meeting held on 9th July were agreed.
24053. Chairs report – MM reported that we were still waiting for information from the government about when funding streams would re-open. Information was expected after 30th October 2024.two meetings had been held with the Football Foundation and Football Association. The site of the PlayZone had been discussed and it was agreed that it may go next to the new Pavilion.
24054. Project Managers Report – a visit to another contractor had been made and a quote for the project would be forwarded. Informal quotes had been sought so that the approximate cost of the project was known for fundraising purposes. The tendering process was discussed, the project would be advertised on the Government’s contracts finder website when the funding was more secure, and it was ready to go.
24055. Funding Report – the group discussed funding and as was noted earlier that this was held up by the change in government. MM agreed to contact the Football Foundation to discuss their contribution to the Pavilion and if this could be increased as in the past, they had indicated that up to 75% could be funded.
24056. PlayZone – A positive site meeting had been held with Football Foundation members suggesting that the PlayZone be sited next to the Pavilion. 75% of the cost of the PlayZone would be provided by the Football Foundation with the Parish Council finding the remaining 25%. A bid to the National Lottery was being made for this side of the funding. It was reported that the surfacing would be polymeric – to be all weather use. The group discussed the new suggested site and expressed concern that it would not fit and allow two full size football pitches to be marked out. An architect had been asked to draw the site plan and check what would fit into the area. It was agreed that the project would go ahead, even if one of the pitches was only able to be a junior size. Planning permission would be applied for by the Football Foundation.
24057. Internal Configuration of the New Pavilion – The group considered the internal configuration of the Pavilion; it was suggested the Architect also reviewed the plan. No changes to the configuration of rooms were identified. It was agreed that a mat at the main entrance and canopy outside the Hall door would be a good idea.
24058. Date and Time of Next Meeting – it was resolved that the next meeting would be on 19th November 2024 at 7pm
