Draft Minutes of the meeting of the Personnel Committee held 16.30hrs Thursday, 16 April 2026 held in the Parish Office at the Curlew Centre.
Present: Cllr Judd, Cllr Pitt (Chair), Cllr Kirby-Fox, Cllr McLaughlin, Mrs C Smith (Clerk)
Under the Personnel Committee’s terms of reference, the meeting was opened under closed session due to reasons of confidentiality, in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 s.1(2). (18)
25.20. Apologies were received from Cllr Scarlett
25.21. There were no declarations of disclosable interest.
25.22. It was resolved to approve the minutes of the meeting held 11 November 2025.
25.23. Appointment of Toilet attendant.
Cllrs noted that the new toilet attendant had been recruited, an employment contract had been issued. Training had been provided by SHDC who would also supply gloves and cleaning equipment and materials. A radar key had been purchased to gain access to the disabled toilet and SHDC had provided a key to the gate. The toilets would be open 9am -6pm.
25.24. Appointment of PlayZone Co-ordinator - It was agreed that this appointment would be delegated to the Steering Group.
25.25. Outside Operative – it was noted that the Outside Operative had passed the probationary period, he has a very positive attitude, works hard and fits in well with the team.
25.26. Staff Hours - It was noted that the Clerk had moved to a 28 hour per week contract, admin was now at 10 hours per week.
25.27. Budgeted Salary changes- new minimum wage rates had been applied to the appropriate positions. It was resolved to agree the clerk’s scheduled increment would be applied, this would be backdated to November as set out in the employment contract.
There being no other business, the chair closed the meeting at 17:30 hrs.
