Minutes of the meeting of the Finance Committee held 13:00hrs Tuesday, 25 August 2026, in the Parish Office at The Curlew Centre, Sutton Bridge.

Present: Cllr Scarlett (chair), Cllr Middleton, Cllr Philpott, Cllr Kirby - Fox, Mrs K Croxford (Admin Assistant) 

Absent: Cllr Cook

26.006.  It was resolved to elect Cllr Scarlett as Chair and Cllr Middleton as Vice- Chair for 2026-27

26.007. There were no apologies

26.008. It was resolved to approve the minutes of the Finance Committee meeting held 19 January 2026.

26.009. It was resolved to approve the July 2026 bank reconciliation. Cllr Middleton asked if this could be compared to last years to make a comparison. 

26.010. It was resolved to approve the payments to 25 August 2026 Appendix 1 , Cllr Kirby-Fox and Cllr Scarlett would authorise the bank payments.

26.011. Budget Summary Report

i. Councillors reviewed the budget summary report. It was noted that the garden allotments and farm business rent was showing as outstanding. This was due to the fact that the next rent was not due to September, this would be reflected in the next summary report. 

26.012. It was resolved to move into closed session in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 s.1(2).

26.013. It was resolved to obtain a more detailed quote from the CCTV contractor and to hold a further meeting to consider this.

26.014. The next meeting was scheduled for the 10 November 2026.

There being no other business, the chair closed the meeting at 14:45hrs.
