26.004.Quarter 3 Receipts and Payments

i.Councillors reviewed the quarter 3 receipts and payments. It was noted that there were some cost codes that had gone over budget including Play equipment, repairs and maintenance and trees in the Open Spaces cost centre. This was due to a episode of vandalism where safety matting had to be relayed, the construction of a fence and extra tree work on the Memorial Park border. It was noted that on the whole the Parish Council was expected to be in budget at year end.

Cllr Philpott joined the meeting

26.005.Draft Budget 2026-27.

  1. Members received the draft budget options and worked through the individual cost codes. Most of the budgets were set with a 5% increase to cover inflation. A new Cost centre for the PlayZone had been created with the budget figures extrapolated from the Football Foundation bid. A new budget was allocated for CCTV in the Park and for new facilities in Princes Park and Lime St when these assets are transferred to the Council.
  2. The Agreed draft budget is attached at Appendix A.
  3. It was resolved to recommend to Full Council the draft budget, setting the precept at £110,000. This is a £10.18 for a band D household, less than 20p per week.

There being no other business, the chair closed the meeting at 15:30 hrs.
