PlayZone Co-ordinator

Location: Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire
Salary: Local Government SCP 9 (£14.13 per hour)
Contract: 10 hours per week, 2 year fixed term contract

We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Physical Activity Connector to help bring the new Football Foundation PlayZone in Sutton Bridge to life.

This role will focus on connecting local residents, clubs, schools, and community groups with the new facility and wider physical activity opportunities in the area. You will promote the PlayZone, build partnerships with local organisations, and help create a clear guide to activities available in Sutton Bridge. You will also ensure opportunities are listed on the Active Lincolnshire Activity Finder, making it easier for people to find ways to be active locally.

A key part of the role will involve identifying and securing funding opportunities to support new programmes and further develop activities on the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote the new PlayZone to local clubs, groups, schools, and residents
• Build partnerships to increase community use of the facility
• Create a guide to physical activity opportunities in Sutton Bridge
• Ensure activities are listed on the Active Lincolnshire Activity Finder
• Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support activity programmes and site development

About You

You will be passionate about community wellbeing and increasing physical activity. You’ll have strong communication and partnership-building skills and experience working with community groups, sports organisations, or local initiatives.

Experience in community engagement, sport development, or funding applications would be beneficial.
