The aim of Sutton Bridge Players is for its members to have fun and to try something new.

Regardless of experience, we give all members the chance to have a go at all aspects of theatre. From performing on stage to technical design, there’s something here for everyone.

“You won’t get me on a stage!”, “I’ve never done anything like this before”, “I don’t know anyone so I wouldn’t fit in” and many more comments like these are the reasons why people will not try Amateur Dramatics. Sutton Bridge Players recognises people may not be fresh from the West End, but still have a lot to give. We offer the chance to learn something new and to be part of a community.

Whether you fancy being on stage or behind the scenes there are plenty of areas to try out including sound, lighting, props, prompt, stage management, costumes, acting, directing or just helping front of house.

Sutton Bridge Players understands that many people have never done anything like this and have such friendly members that you would have to try very hard indeed not to be welcomed with open arms and a cuppa!

We meet at Westmere Primary School every Wednesday and Sunday evening at 19:30 (unless otherwise stated, so please do message us before turning up). Have a drink and a cake and see what you think of the people who found that same degree of courage, just before you did…

We do ask for an annual Membership fee (covers the cost of insurance) of  £20 per annum or £10 for juniors (under 18). Minimum age is 14 and must be accompanied by an actively involved parent or guardian.

Don't take our word for it,  What do our members say?

To anybody wanting to give it a go I would say to go for it! - "Jo"

The best decision I made was turning up. You won’t regret it. -"Ren"
