Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II
As the Chairman of South Holland District Council, I have to report that our much-loved Queen Elizabeth the Second passed away at Balmoral on Thursday 8 September. Her Majesty will surely be remembered as the greatest Monarch the United Kingdom has ever had.
On behalf of the people of the District of South Holland, I send our deepest sympathy to the Royal Family.
As a mark of respect, the Union Flag at the South Holland District Council offices will be flown at half-mast.
To allow people to pay their respects, a physical condolence book will be available at the Council Offices, Priory Road, Spalding and floral tributes can be laid on the Bowling Green at Ayscoughfee Hall, Spalding.
The Queen was a truly remarkable Monarch who gave so much of herself to serving the country. She will be greatly missed.
Cllr Paul Redgate, Chairman of South Holland District Council
