Cemetery Fees From 1st May 2023
Fees fixed by Sutton Bridge Parish Council in pursuance of its powers in respect of the cemetery situated at Fields Farm Road North, Sutton Bridge, PE12 9GT, for payments received from 1st May 2023
DEFINITIONS:
Exclusive Right of Burial, Grave Plot. Provides exclusive burial rights to a double plot for 100 years from date of purchase. A charge is made for each interment within a burial plot for up to two coffins, or one coffin and up to three cremated remains. If ground conditions preclude the provision of a double grave plot, two single plots will be provided adjacent to each other at no additional cost.
Exclusive Right of Burial, Cremation Plot. Provides exclusive burial rights to a double plot (or single plot for the children’s area) for 100 years from date of purchase. A charge is made for each interment at the current fees for up to two burials.
Interment. Charges will apply each time a grave is opened. Charges do not include the gravedigger’s fees. Any coffins exceeding 0.76m long or 0.6m wide will be interred in the adult burial area. For interments of coffins larger than 2.2m long, or 0.8m wide, larger plots will need to be purchased at an appropriate fee. The cemetery is not consecrated, plots may be blessed at the time of interment. The Parish Council maintains lawn space areas at no expense to the grave owner. After the burial, the grave is made level and grassed over.
Parishioner. Somebody who, immediately prior to their death, was a resident of the area, or who lived in the area for over ten years and moved out of the area less than 24 months before their death.
